The Color Run and My Bridal Party

I'm so excited!  As you may know, I'm getting married in about 4 months.  My bridal party consists for three very fun, very important women.  They all knew each other in passing or because they'd each participated in one of the kid's birthday parties but weren't 'friends'.  Since asking each of them, we have all planned a couple coffee dates and they all have friended each other on Facebook. I'm really glad they all seem to get along (not that it's required; but it does make for smoother planning for a destination wedding and it's nice that my three favorite ladies can be friends too).

We've all at one time or another discussed how much fun it would be to participate in The Color Run.  In separate conversations each have actually brought up this idea, but again it was just casually.  When I found out I might get an opportunity to form a team for the four of us I immediately texted them asking if they were up for it.  I got quick replies from each confirming they were, indeed, up for it!
Let me explain a bit about The Color Run.  It's a 5k.  I know I know! But it's perfect for any level or age.  It's focused less on speed and more on 'crazy color fun with friends and family'. You start with a white shirt and head along the path.  Each kilometer is paired with a designated color and as you run (or walk or skip as my Maid of Honor suggested) you are bombarded with this 100% natural and safe color.

I've never done any sort of race but I thought this would be an amazing opportunity to share with my girls before my wedding.  It just sounds like some good 'clean' fun!  We're all really excited and on the hunt for the perfect team name.

You can find out more about The Color Run (and when it's coming to your town or a city near you!) on the website: http://thecolorrun.com/
And find them on Facebook and Twitter!

Help us think of a team name! Maybe something to do with the wedding, bridal party and tying the knot in general?? Or this site?

  4. How exciting! I have a friend who runs in the one they have in Ohio and she had a blast last year! I am hoping to give it a shot myself one day on the next year or so either in Racine or down in Indiana if my friend wants to try it.
