Wonder Forge: Games for All Ages!

One of my 3 year old son's favorite show on TV is Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  Do you know it?  It's fairly new (by new I mean it certainly wasn't around when I was a kid) and it help teach kids all sorts of good stuff.  When I saw that Wonder Forge had board games based off Jake and the Neverland Pirates I got really excited.  K hadn't ever really taken an interest in board games, he is three so it was no big deal, but around these parts family game night is a pretty big deal.  We love to bust out a game and get competitive.

I knew Who Shook Hook would grab K's attention and I was right.  Right away K began asking how to play and can we play.  On Christmas K played his first board game from start to finish and loved it so much he asked the next day if we could play Who Shook Hook again.

Who Shook Hook has a simple goal, avoid knocking a sleeping Captain Hook off his hammock.  His hammock is covered in treasures they the players must remove; very carefully!!  Spinning the arrow and moving your piece (the four crew members from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) tells you which treasure item or which tool you must use. It was a lot of fun, even for the grown ups!

The next time we had a game night we got out Joker Fun House.  K is really into all the super heroes right now and after playing this game even asked if next Halloween we can all go as these super heroes.  Too cute!  This game has Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Superman all working together to stop The Joker.  All four super heroes are in play and one person is The Joker.  You use your super powers to try and stop The Joker before he escapes.  K's favorite is probably Batman's power, which involves trying to knock The Joker off his ledge; he also likes The Joker's retaliation- the 'wacky ball' to knock down the heroes and send them back to start.

We also got Konexi which is geared more towards Jelly Bean (who's 11) and the grown ups of the family.  The younger boys think the stacking letters are cool.  Konexi is the 'Gravity Defying Word Game' and it truly is! You take turns adding letters and can go up, down and sideways to get more points.  Whoever gets the most points without knocking it over is the winner!

There are so many games for kids of all ages!  Princess games, Dr Suess Games, games for preschool ages all the way to adults.  Check them all out online at: http://www.wonderforge.com
