Rock and ROLLING Regular Old Lunches
It's fun to change up menus and meals but sometimes when you have a three (almost 4!) year old and a 1 and 1/2 year old at home with you you find yourself making quite a bit of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches! I don't mind- I try to make it as healthy as possible by using wheat bread and sprinkling wheat germ over the PB; plus peanut butter has some great protein aspects. To shake things up every once and a while we'll do these PB Roll Ups. They are super easy and really cute and a fun way to get your lunch 'Rocking and Rolling' :)
Take your bread and flatten it with a rolling pin; you can cut the crust off to make it prettier but I left them on :) Place your filling of choice; you could to classic PB and J, PB and Honey or even (as you'll see below) banana and honey or PB!
Next, simply roll. Take a sharp knife and slice into perfectly bite sized yummies. And you're done. These would be great for a playdate or kids party since they are small and perfect for popping, chewing and then continuing playing.
How do you shake up your lunch routine?
