Nutcracker Music Game and Giveaway!

My kids got a chance to play a new PC game called Nutcracker Music Game.  The game has lots of mini-games within it, which is great to keep kids involved and entertained.  These nine games are educational and teach all about musical instruments through beautiful classical music.  They learn how each instrument sounds,  how they all work together in an orchestra and how composers create music.


My 3 year old's favorite game was the 'Elephant' which was one where we listened to sounds and then matched the musical instrument with the sound we'd heard.  He loved it and got really excited when he got it right.  For this game he definitely needed help but I was happy to sit with him and help guide him.  I love watching his wheels turning.  The game is intended for ages 4 and up so I was prepared to sit with him and help.

My eleven year old found some of the games difficult in the beginning too, but not so much where she needed my help.  She plays clarinet in her school band so she picked up quickly on the games and I heard her saying 'I want the keys!'.  After winning each game you win a key which is used to help free the prince.
