Movie Review: ADMISSION

I took my cousin (who's also my Maid of Honor) on a 'date' to see the pre-screening of ADMISSION (directed by Paul Weitz) the other day.  I was extremely excited as I am a huge Tine Fey and Paul Rudd fan.  I had high hopes for this romantic comedy and it definitely delivered the goods.

The two played well together and I enjoyed the comedic timing of both.  They are both well known for comedy and this film had some laugh out loud moments paired with some tug-at-the-heart-strings ones, too.

Tina Fey plays Portia, an admission officer at Princeton and Paul Rudd plays opposite her as John Pressman, a teacher from a new high school with it's first graduating class.  An interesting story line kept me intrigued which includes a hidden secret from Portia's past; a possible biological son graduating and applying to Princeton. And the outrageous cast of characters in Portia and John's lives(think awkward moments with the ex that cheated and crazy mother with her own secret) kept me entertained.

We both enjoyed it and I'd recommend it for a date night with friends or your significant other.  It's really one of those romantic comedy films that works both ways.  I hope I'll be seeing Tina Fey and Paul Rudd together again soon! This movie opened nation wide 3/22/13!

***Disclaimer: I was able to see the prescreening of this movie as a member of the press.  My opinions are 100% my own.
