DecalGirl: Custom Laptop Skins

On my hunt for Laptop Skins I came across Decal Girl, an awesome site with skins with your laptop, iPad, MacBook, game consoles and more!  The amount and quality of the artwork choices made DecalGirl stand out among the other sites I found.  The best part, for me, is that they offer custom skins.  With a custom skin you measure your device and DecalGirl does the work for you.  The best part? The artwork isn't compromised, no cropping or cutting, super easy!  They size the artwork to fit your device so you don't miss any parts of the amazing designs.

I was nervous I'd measure wrong but they have a nifty and easy to follow tutorial on the DecalGirl facebook page (the tutorial can also help you decide between a universal skin or a custom skin.  I knew custom would be best for us, Jelly Bean's laptop is pretty large; bigger than mine (but whatever, I'm not jealous or anything...), plus, I knew I didn't want any of the amazing artwork I'd picked to get cut off and finally, I figured it'd just be easier to apply.  I'm all for easy!

Now let me talk about the artwork options!  There is a new option to upload your own photo which could be tons of fun (I am considering a XBox skin for Hubs-To-Be with a family photo...sometimes I think he forgets we exist while it's on! I kid, I kid :)). The artwork readily available though is amazing.  Anything you could think of is there and often there were many options.  For example, we love dragons.  Yes, dragons.  I searched and not only found dragon art work, but I found lots of dragon artwork!  Ultimately, I chose First Lesson, I knew Jelly Bean would love it and it's beautiful.  We also received Midnight Garden which I love for a girly feel and again, gorgeous artwork.  Jelly Bean picked First Lesson to go on first.  It took 5 minutes to apply, if that.  She loves it, it gives her laptop some personality and the quality is wonderful, it's stayed on so far with no sign of moving (and let's be honest, she's rough on her laptop...)!  We picked matte finish on both skins because it's smudge-proof and reduces fingerprints but they also have a glossy finish option, too.
